Story of the Week!

I first met Tron Foster when he was a 5th grade student of mine at Boiling Springs intermediate school. Over the years we made many great memories together. I had the opportunity to take him to meet many of his sports hero’s.He went with me Carolina Panther’s training camp and he made many new friends. Cam Newton on two different occasions took off his cleats and sign them and he gave them to Tron. He also made friends with Thomas Davis , Captain Munnerlyn, Greg Olsen, Luke Kuechly, Christian McCaffrey, and Ron Rivera just to name a few. He made a lasting impact on these athletes. On the day that Tron has the surgery on his leg the Panther had a game that night . After the game when I was in the Panthers locker room Davis and Munnerlyn both stopped me and asked how Tron’s surgery went and how he was. Tron also when with to some NBA games and he got to meet some of the NBA  players and Coaches. The Boston Celtics were one of his favorite team. He got to meet Celtics Coach Doc Rivers and Rivers promise him that the Celtics would always be pulling for Him. He got to meet Paul Pierce who was one of his favorite players. NBA player Dwight Howard sent Tron a personal message to hang in there, keep battling, and stay strong in his faith in God and he would be ok. Tron was a smart young with always a smile on his face, I never ever heard him complain about anything . He got knocked down so many times by life but he always battled back. He was an inspiration to many people, myself included! He was like a rubber ball that kept bouncing back. I thank God for the memories of Tron and to share in the opportunities that we had together. That young man was one of the strongest people I have ever met! I commend his mother Ashley on raising such a fine young man. Tron is in heaven now and does not have to suffer anymore. My prayers go out to Tron family! May God bless each of you!
