Our History

  Cox Sports Broadcasting was formed in December of 2005. Cox Sports Broadcasting was created by Founder Dick Cox. Cox started the broadcast endeavors in 2006 with color analyst Barry Toney.
Cox Sports Broadcasting has covered the NCAA Men's Final Four Nasketball Championship in Indianapolis and the NCAA Men's Basketball regionals. We havealso covered the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, NC. Cox Sports Broadcasting broadcasts over 200 high school, and college games and Sports Talk Shows along with State Championship High School basketball games and All-Star Basketball games. Cox Sports broadcasts high school football and basketball games locally in the Spartanburg, SC and Charlotte, NC area. Cox Sports Broadcasting has also teamed up with the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, South Carolina Gamecocks, Duke Blue Devils, and the Clemson Tigers, and has gone on location to Broadcasts the "Coaches' Corner" Sports Talk Show at Panther events and South Carolina Gamecock Club events. Cox Sports Broadcasting also covers the NASCAR All-Star Race, Coke 600, Bank of America 500 and the Pit Crew Challenge. Cox Sports Broadcasting broadcasts live sports talk shows from SEC Football Media Day in Birmingham, Al and covers the ACC  Football and Basketball Media event in Charlotte, NC. Cox Sports has covered the SEC Football Championship game and the ACC Football Championship Game along with the ACC basketball and the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Cox Sports Broadcasting continues to provide the highest quality in sports broadcasting with a tremendous staff of announcers, and personnel, and our website keeps you in the game with the latest sports new and videos.
